Outreach efforts:
My previous work while an animal keeper at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo afforded me multiple opportunities to develop and execute conservation outreach programs, such as the award-winning Leap Into Action campaign in celebration of the Amphibian Ark's Year of the Frog (2008).  This amphibian awareness campaign brought 40 local conservation focused institutions together to spread the word about the global amphibian crisis and the need for wetland conservation.  The program culminated in raising over $17,000 for local amphibian conservation efforts. Other outreach efforts have incorporated a variety of strategies including: distance learning, citizen science (within the United States and Ecuador), public talks, and research seminars at local conferences and universities. Please see my CV for additional details.
